Network Adapter Controller Information

The following information displays information about Network Adapter controllers.

Status displays three valid states.

Permanent MAC Address displays the physical address presented on the network by the physical adapter.

Port Number displays the numbered network ports relative to either a logical module or a network element

Full Duplex displays the current state of the Full Duplex Ethernet Support. HP Network Adapters support the Full Duplex Ethernet if they are attached to a device that also supports Full Duplex. The following duplex values are possible

  • No - Either the hardware does not support duplex, or the Network Adapter Agent cannot determine the current state of the Full Duplex Ethernet Support for this Network Adapter.

  • Yes- The Network Adapter is currently running in full duplex mode.

Firmware version displays the firware version of the controlle.r

Autosense displays a Boolean that indicates whether the NetworkPort is capable of automatically determining the speed or other communications characteristics of the attached network media.

Speed displays the current bandwidth of the Port. No accurate estimation can be made, this property should contain the nominal bandwidth.

Mtu displays the active or negotiated maximum transmission unit.

Physical location displays the physical location of the Network Adapter Card.

Interface name displays the Operating System ethernet device name. For Example: eth1

Current MAC displays the text representing the principal unicast address used in communication with the LAN end point

IPv4 Address displays the network location of the device. This property is displayed only if the address of the I/O port is in IPv4 format.

Subnet mask displays the mask for the IPv4 address. This property is displayed only appears if the the address of the I/O port is in IPv4 format.

IPv6 Address displays the network location of the device. This property is displayed only if the address of the I/O port is in IPv6 format.
