Enclosure Power Supplies

This section displays information about enclosure power supplies on Server Blades is available only through Onboard Administrator.

Power Supply Groups

This section displays information about the power supplies.

The following entries may be displayed:

  • Group Redundancy shows if the power supply group is currently operating in redundant mode. The possible Group Redundancy values are:

    • Redundant

    • Not Redundant

    • N/A

  • Location displays the bay where the power supply is located.

  • Present represents whether the Power Supply is present in the chassis.

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.9.1.3 - cpqHeFltTolPowerSupplyPresent

  • Redundancy State represents the redundancy state of the power supply. The following values are possible:

    • Redundant

    • Not Redundant

    • N/A - The Server Agent is unable to determine if this power supply sub-system is operating.

  • Status displays the status of the power supply. The following values are possible:

    • No Error - A power supply is installed and operating normally.

    • Failed - A power supply is installed and is no longer operating. Replace the power supply.

    • Not Installed - Nothing is installed in this power supply bay.

    • Unknown - The Server Agent is unable to determine if this storage system power supply bay is occupied.

  • Used Capacity (%) represents the current Power Supply capacity which is a percentage of its maximum capacity.

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.9.1.7 - cpqHeFltTolPowerSupplyCapacityUsed

  • Hot Pluggable Represents if the power supply is capable of being removed and/or inserted while the system is in an operational state.

    The following values are possible:

    • Hot Plug

    • Not Hot Plug

    • Unknown

  • Used Capacity (W) represents the current Power Supply capacity in Watts.

  • Model represents the Power Supply Model name.

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.9.1.10 - cpqHeFltTolPowerSupplyModel

  • Max Capacity represents the maximum capacity of the Power Supply in watts.

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.9.1.8 - cpqHeFltTolPowerSupplyCapacityMaximum

  • Serial Number displays the serial number of the power supply. This information can be used for identification purposes.

  • Voltage represents the Input Main Voltage of the Power Supply in Volts.

  • Firmware Revision displays the firmware revision of the power supply.

Power Converter

This section displays information about the power converters. The following entries may be displayed:

  • General Information

    • Installed displays if the system supports reporting power converter module information.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.1 - cpqHePowerConverterSupported

    • Status displays the status of the power converter. The following values are possible.

      • OK - A power converter is installed and operating normally.

      • Degraded - A power converter is installed and is operating in a degraded state. Replace the power converter.

      • Failed - A power converter is installed and is no longer operating. Replace the power converter.

      • Unknown - The Server Agent is unable to determine the status of this power converter.

  • Power Converters

    • Module displays the number to index within the chassis. This information applies to IPF systems such as Superdome, rx7620 or rx8620.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.2 - cpqHePwrConvIndex

    • Slot displays the Power Converter Module slot number within the chassis.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.4 - cpqHePwrConvSlot

    • Socket displays the Power Converter Module socket number within the slot.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.5 - cpqHePwrConvSocket

    • Present displays if the Power Converter Module described is present in the system. This information applies to IPF systems such as Superdome, rx7620 or rx8620.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.3 - cpqHePwrConvPresent

    • Redundant displays if the Power Converter Module is redundant. This information applies to IPF systems such as Superdome, rx7620 or rx8620.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.6 - cpqHePwrConvPresent

    • Redundant Group Id displays the Power Converter Module group id. A redundant set of power converters will have the same group id.

      OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.13.3.1.7 - cpqHePwrConvRedundantGroupId

    • Location displays the the hardware location, on complex multi SBB hardware only, for the power converter. A NULL string indicates that the hardware location could not be determined or is irrelevant. This information applies to IPF systems such as Superdome, rx7620 or rx8620.
