Description
============
This scexe contains the utilities and binaries for upgrading 
HP ProLiant Gigabit Ethernet NICs boot code, PXE/UEFI, IPMI, UMP, CLP, iSCSI, NCSI, FCoE and CCM code running under VMware platform.
Currently this smart component is supported only to run on standalone system as there are couple of issue with the HPSUM.


Enhancements/Fixes
===================
- Enhancements Description: 
This smart component would support Esxi 5.5 OS. This tools allows one to flash CCM and FCOE firmware components.

The CCM firmware component is  being updated on older NXI devices whose NVRAM image does not contain a CCM component.

  - Smart Component Fixes: The following issues are fixed with the library.
  
 "This FCoE firmware version addresses an FCoE ROM boot failure to establish connection with FCoE fabric in a certain configuration seen with version 7.8.17.
 This FCoE firmware prevents a slowdown in boot time (~8 secs) and a VLAN discovery failure caused by the discovery logic of the FCoE ROM.
 This iSCSI firmware addresses an iSCSI ROM Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) failure seen with version 7.8.24."

Introduction
============
This file describes the firmware upgrade of HP Gigabit Server Adapters
mentioned in the PRODUCTS AFFECTED section of this document.

Packaging
=========
The firmware upgrade utility is released in scexe format. The file is a
single self-extracting executable that unpacks the component, runs it, and
cleans up.


Performing the Firmware Upgrade
===============================
1. The firmware can be upgraded interactively using the following command:

		#./CP00xxxx.scexe

2. Check the help menu for more information regarding command line options.

		#./CP00xxxx.scexe -h

3. The tool can be executed in silent mode with -s option and -f can be used
   to downgrade the firmware forcefully.
	 
		#./CP00xxxx.scexe -s 
	        #./CP00xxxx.scexe -f

Firmware Upgrade Log
====================
Results of the firmware upgrade are written to /var/cpq/CPxxxxxx.log.
