TODO plans for KBibTeX

- Write man page
- Make search URLs configurable, add more search URLs
- Expand configuration dialog
- Export to HTML ("upgrade" XML export?)
Make it configurable using bib2html OR bib2xhtml
- Add a preview function at the bottom like in JabRef
- In entry dialog, fill history combox boxes with useful data
maintain library of authors, editors, journals, ...
Oliver Sinnen writes: "When a new element is added, it would be
nice to have dropboxes with the content of identical fields from
other elements. For example, an author dropbox could hold all
author names that are found in the current .bib file. That would
be very convenient for multiple publications from the same author,
or multiple papers in the same journal etc."
- Give visual feedback when pasting entries from the clipboard
  (see Amarok)
- Arrange entries in a tree view, grouped by type
- Drag&Drop within a single file does not work yet
- Drag&Drop of a file e.g. from Konqueror opens a BibTeX file. More
complicated is Drag&Drop to other application like KWord. Oliver
Sinnen writes: "Drag'n'Drop: A nice feature in connection with the
previous point would be drag and drop of a selection of entries
into another application. For example in kword, where it would
create a reference list of the corresponding entries. And in
quanta this could create a reference list in html form."
- Integrate KBibTeX into other application, primarily Kile
Oliver Sinnen writes: "An integration of this into Kile would be
great. Maybe even into Kword! To get an idea how this can be done
   see Lyx."
- Improve UI with "What's this" and Tooltip help
- Check for Duplicates
- Advanced Search: Drop down list next to search bar to restrict to
  certain fields
- Trace bugs and memory leaks with valgrind & friends
- Add nice application and mime-type icon (currently we use some
icon from the KPDF icon contest)
- Make protection of title, booktitle and series optional (requested
  by Mary Ellen Foster)
- Support for non-standard bibtex entries. Kimmo Elo writes: "I am
currently working with a bibliography file with records of
   self-configured non-standard entry type (@newspaper). The file
is originally created and edited with pybliographer (which allows
   you to create new entries)."
- Read and write EndNote and other formats
